IBPS dropped a huge RRB notification this time around, 13,706 vacancies total across the Officer and Office Assistant sides. Office Assistant has the lion's share of seats, Scale III barely has any in comparison. Forms opened on 1 September 2026 and you've got until 21 September 2026 to get it done. Not a lot of time honestly, so don't leave it for the last two days.

At first glance it looks like just 4 cadres but Officer Scale II is actually split into seven specialisations, General Banking, IT, CA, Law, Treasury, Marketing and Agriculture, so really you're looking at 10 different posts here. Each of those specialisations asks for a different degree and a different experience bracket. Read the row meant for you properly, people mix these up more than you'd think.

How to Fill IBPS RRB 15th Online Form 2026

Quick heads up before you start, Office Assistant and Officer applications use two totally different links. People have registered on the wrong one before and lost the fee, so double check which link you're on. Also since the Scale II specialist posts each need their own set of documents, keep the notification PDF open in another tab while you fill things in, don't try to do it from memory.

  • Read the notification properly at least once, the experience part for Scale II posts trips people up the most.
  • Get your degree certificate, mark sheets, experience letters and category proof scanned before you even open the form.
  • Photo and signature have to be the exact size the portal is asking for or it just won't upload.
  • Use the preview page. Actually read it instead of clicking through.
  • Pay the fee same day, form and fee deadline are both 21 September this time, no gap between them.
  • Take a screenshot or save the confirmation page once it's submitted.

IBPS RRB 15th Preparation Tips 2026

  • Office Assistant and Scale I candidates go through prelims, mains, then interview. Some Scale II and III routes jump straight from prelims to interview though, so check what applies to your post instead of assuming it's always three rounds.
  • If you're applying for a Scale II specialist post, spend more time on your core subject first. IT, Law, CA, Agriculture, Marketing, whatever fits your post, because that's usually where marks are won or lost.
  • General Banking Officer and Senior Manager candidates, be ready to actually talk through your banking work history in the interview. Just having it on paper isn't enough.
  • Don't ignore the local language requirement if you're going for Office Assistant or Scale I. It gets checked properly during document verification later, this isn't something you can just tick and forget.
  • Reasoning and basic computer awareness still show up in prelims for every post, so keep that going alongside whatever else you're studying.
