Rajasthan High Court Stenographer Preparation Tips 2026

1. Shorthand (Most Important)

  • Practice Daily: Start Slow from 40-50 WPM and Gradually Increase. Aim to Increase Speed by 5 WPM Every Week Until You Reach 80+.WPM 
  • Transcription Matters Too: Writing Fast Is Not Enough, You Must Be Able to Transcribe It Back Into Accurate English Without Errors or using Backspace.
  • Dedicate a Minimum of 1-2 Hours Daily necause typing Built on Muscle Memory so taking a Break Causes Speed to Drop.

2. English (Highest Weightage in the Written Exam)

  • Grammar: Practice 10-15 Questions Daily on Tenses, Articles, Prepositions and Verb.
  • Vocabulary: Learn 10 New Words Daily With Their Synonyms and Antonyms.
  • Comprehension: Read 2-3 Passages a Week and Solve Questions on Them, This Also Improves Reading speed.

3. Reasoning (A Speed Test)

  • Series, Coding-Decoding, Analogy, Blood Relations (These Are All Pattern Based, So the More You Practice the Faster You Will Solve Them).
  • Practice With a Timer because Speed Matters in the Real Exam.

4. General Awareness

  • Current Affairs: Cover the Last 6 Months Current Affairs by Read Newspaper or a Current Affairs in daily basis for at least 30 to 60 Minutes.
  • Static GK: Revise History, Polity and Geography a Little Every Day.
